There are many vitamin C serums on the market, with numerous forms of vitamin C used. The stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin, serves as a formidable barrier to many topical applications.
Traditional Ascorbic Acid, while beneficial, doesn’t penetrate this barrier very effectively, limiting its efficacy. Although other forms of Vitamin C like Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate can achieve better penetration, they don’t deliver the same level of bioactive benefits. Another popular form, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (THD Ascorbate), is known for its lipid solubility and stability, making it effective in formulations but still not matching the rapid permeation of DHAA.
Where DHAA (Dehydroascorbic Acid) stands out is in its remarkable ability to penetrate the stratum corneum up to 12 times more efficiently than Ascorbic Acid. Once DHAA has crossed this barrier and entered the cells, it is converted back into Ascorbic Acid, the most bioactive form of Vitamin C. This conversion ensures that the skin receives all the potent benefits of Vitamin C, such as enhanced collagen production, powerful antioxidant protection, and overall skin health improvement, making it far superior in delivering tangible results.
While Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is touted for its superior potency over many other Vitamin C derivatives, it still cannot match the quick and efficient absorption rates of DHAA. Likewise, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate and other derivatives offer more stability than pure Ascorbic Acid but fall short in the rapid permeation and conversion efficiency that DHAA offers. This positions DHAA as not only a highly effective but also a more practical option for topical Vitamin C serum formulations, providing maximum benefits with minimal side effects and lower concentrations needed.
We have had positive feedback from case studies and clients with a range of skin issues such as basal cell carcinomas, actinic keratoses, antibiotic-resistant cellulitis, treatment-resistant fungal infections, infected white tail spider bites, relief from the symptoms of eczema, wasp and bee stings, bites from fleas, mosquitos, as well as speeding healing from burns, cuts, tattoos, and surgeries with users claiming scarring is significantly less than experienced when compared to not using Nerchr.

Our YouTube channel also has another case study and some of our newly branded content. We have a couple more case studies that will be posted to YouTube soon.
Nerchr's range of vitamin C serums are the only serums in the world that are made with DHAA. We are choosing potential stores to sell through carefully, to ensure our brand is protected as a more esteemed range.
